Roots of Heaven

Au bord d’un lac isolé en pleine forêt au nord de la Pologne vivent un père et son fils. C’est l’anniversaire du fils. Alors qu’il pensait aller pêcher avec son père, celui-ci apprend la présence de braconniers et d’exploitants en coupe illégale du bois. Parti s’enquérir de la situation, il se rend compte que son fils s’est caché dans son bateau. Face aux évènements qui les attendent, le fils va devoir s’affirmer adulte plus vite que prévu.

On the shore of a remote lake in the middle of a forest in northern Poland live a father and his son. It is the son’s birthday. While he thought he was going fishing with his father, the latter learns of the presence of poachers and illegal loggers. When he goes to investigate the situation, he realizes that his son has hidden in his boat. Faced with the events that await them, the son will have to grow up faster than expected.
